Are sessions offered in person or online?
We offer both in-person and online sessions. Online sessions are virtual through a secure,HIPAA compliant telehealth platform called Simple Practice.
Do you see teenagers?
We are not accepting teens at this time.
Is the information shared in the sessions confidential?
Yes. All information (except for safety concerns) is confidential and will not be shared with any person or organization without your consent. Confidentiality is broken in the followingsituations.
When a client makes a serious threat of violence towards a reasonably identifiable person or
group of people.
When a client is a danger to him/herself or the person or property of another.
When a client shares an instance of current or past abuse, mental suffering, or neglect towards minors, elderly people (60 years and older), or dependent persons.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 55 minutes long
How long does therapy typically last?
This depends on the issues and concerns you are coming in for and can be discussed during your first session. Short term therapy can be only a few sessions, while long term therapy can last for six months or longer. The total time spent in therapy can vary and change as the client’s needschange.
What is the cancellation policy?
All sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours ahead of the appointment time, excluding weekends. Therefore, Monday appointments must be canceled by Friday before the time of your appointment. For example, if you have an appointment on Monday at 11:00 am., the appointment must be canceled by Friday before 11:00am.
How do bariatric pre-surgery evaluations work?
This is typically a one-time, 55-minute session where you will be asked some questions andcomplete several questionnaires. Feedback is provided at the end of the session, or if needed, an appointment is made for another day to discuss in more detail the feedback and recommendations. A letter is written by the therapist with the information gathered and sent to your bariatric surgery team.
What are your rates?
Our therapy sessions are self-pay and cost $250 per session.A superbill can be provided forclients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.
We have also partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. If you qualify, we submit the claim to Mentaya and Mentaya will file your claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you getreimbursed.
What are the payment options?
Payments are processed securely through an online system. Accepted payment methods include all major credit/debit cards, Zelle, and possibly HSA/FSA cards.
Do you accept insurance?
We currently accept Aetna PPO, EPO, POS, and private pay for therapy and bariatricassessments.
What are your private-pay rates?
Therapy sessions are $250 per session.
Bariatric pre-surgical psychological evaluations by private pay are $500.
An ADHD diagnostic evaluation is $1500 (2 – 3 hours) and is focused on determining if you meet criteria for ADHD and providing recommendations.
A comprehensive ADHD evaluation is $2200, is more complex (4-5 hours), andincludes full cognitive testing and other standardized tests.
